My Voice Enters Your System
And Now My Voice Enters Your System, INDEX gallery, Stroud, 2013
From each of the three projectors a line of film threads across the room and loops back to the machine. The filmstrips slice through the gallery to create kinetic and audible drawings that resonate throughout the space – the gallery becoming a poetic moment. Instead of emitting an image, the projectors intone whispered, spoken and sung phrases. Each loop is a rumination: “I am film from which the image has slipped away…”, “her voice enters me and now my voice enters your system”. (April 2013)
